President / Founder
Garth Schultz is President of PowerPanel. In addition to steering the company’s strategic operations, Mr. Schultz is a catalyst for change, nurturing an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and growth. His expertise in the renewable energy industry empowers him to spearhead advanced research initiatives, pushing the boundaries of PVT technology to new heights.
Mr. Schultz founded PowerPanel in 2007. As president and founder, he is responsible for the product line that includes hybrid PVT (Photovoltaic + Thermal) patents and deploying the company’s manufacturing and engineering facility in Oxford, Michigan.
In addition to PowerPanel, Garth is also the president of RG Resource Technologies, a leading innovator in turnkey solar technology solutions that can scale easily and deploy quickly. Mr. Schultz is developing complementary products based on PowerPanel core technologies to address renewable energy, clean water, and controlled input food production markets.
Mr. Schultz received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. After moving to southern Michigan, he was employed in the automotive specialty and service engineering field, working on complete vehicle design with a primary focus on high-performance and niche market applications. Production and prototype vehicle projects include the GMC Cyclone / Typhoon, Chevrolet SSR, and PVO Viper-powered Dodge Ram Truck. Garth co-founded a venture to produce alternative fueled natural gas-powered vehicles culminating in a contract award for converting 4,000 USPS carrier delivery vehicles to natural gas. In collaboration with Ford Motor Company, Mr. Schultz also invented a high-pressure gas regulator and fuel management system, resulting in patent awards and IP sales of the developed technologies.
